Locals and visitors come here for recreation, contact with nature and outdoor shows and parties. It borders the stream Arroyo de la Cruz, which is fed by several underwater springs. Its course is crossed by four bridges in Capilla del Señor, the oldest one dates from 1861.

In past times, the town was accessed through Belgrano Street, wading the stream.
