Built in the late nineteenth century, it has handmade railings of high artistic value. It hosted the first music academy directed by Marciano Montalvo, who, despite having being blind since the age of five, composed many pieces of folk music, such as polkas, schotis and mazurkas. He was also interested in classical and religious music, could play various instruments and was an eminent ‘payador’.
He was the official church organist from 1887 until his death. A large commemorative plaque on the house honours the former resident.
